Production and transshipment complex “GreenTour-Ex” (Bunge Limited). Automation and power supply
Description
“Grintur-Ex” is a grain terminal and transshipment complex located within the territory of the Mykolaiv Sea Commercial Port, Mykolaiv, Ukraine.
The terminal operates as part of Bunge Ukraine, the Ukrainian division of Bunge Limited — one of the world’s largest agribusiness and oilseed processing companies.
In 2016, Bunge Ukraine commissioned a large-scale production and transshipment complex at the terminal site, including:

A high-capacity vegetable oil production plant

An oil terminal for storage and shipment

Expanded grain terminal facilities
The total investment amounted to USD 180 million, becoming one of the largest American investments in Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
As a result, the complex increased agricultural export volumes by approximately 1 million tons annually. The plant processes significant volumes of oilseeds (sunflower and soybean) with high throughput efficiency.
What was done
- Implementation of the unique SENUMAC technology by S-Engineering for controlling the loading of a continuous transport line for bulk materials.
- Modernization of two ship loaders for the production and transshipment complex. Our specialists were tasked with synchronizing the movement of trolleys with the movement of the ship loaders (SL).
- It should be noted that a specific feature of the project was the modernization of loading machines originally intended for potash loading into machines for loading grain crops. At the same time, S-Engineering specialists developed new documentation for the SL. This project provided independent movement of the SL along the vessel loading line, full control over conveyor operation (belt misalignment sensors, bearing temperature monitoring). Our specialists also replaced the safety system (installed cable-operated emergency stop switches).
- Design of the process control system (ACS TP) and power supply (ES) of the liquid bulk terminal.
- Supply of electrical equipment for the construction of the automated control system of the steam-and-power shop of the Mykolaiv oil extraction plant, back area of berths 13, 14.
- Software development and commissioning of the steam-and-power shop process control system (ACS).
- Supply of switchgear equipment manufactured using Sivacon S8 technology: PLC cabinets, MCC, ET stations (MCC and field), valve and aspiration control equipment for the husk granulation shop.
